Roper Mountain Science Center 2011 Blueberry Festival, Greenville SC

Mmm….yummie!  Who could resist local blueberries and fruits, pies, baked goods, contests and an opportunity to learn about food preservation, blueberry science and gardening.  Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 9th from 9AM – 1PM  for a fun time at the Roper Mountain Science Center’s  2011  Blueberry Festival, Greenville SC.

A visit to the 62-acre Science Center  is an enjoyable time for all age groups with its nature trails, butterfly garden, aboretum, planetarium and observatory.   The Center is all about science.  A great way to spend a Friday night is to take your kids to the Starry Nights Program for the planetarium show where they will be amazed at the telescope viewings of the night sky.   What could be better than opening your child’s mind to the wonders that surround them as they look at stars and planets so close up they can almost touch them.  What a great experience to give your kids!
