Come To The Annual Labor Day Family Fun Festival In Simpsonville!
Come to the Annual Labor Day Family Fun Festival in Simpsonville Sept 3rd through the 5th. This is the 37th yr of this annual event and each year it just keeps getting better! There will be fun and enjoyment for everyone on Sept 3 and 4 Noon – 8pm and on Monday 10a.m. – 6p.m. Admission is only $1 on Saturday and it’s free on Sunday and Monday.
On Saturday food, arts and craft vendors and Toddler Town will be there from Noon - 8p.m. The petting zoo will be open from Noon – 5p.m. (Saturday, Sunday and Monday), and the construction zone (this year’s new addition to the festival) will be open from Noon – 4p.m. Stick around for a free music concert at 7p.m.
On Sunday kids and toddlers will enjoy Touch a Truck, carnival rides (you pay for the rides) and Toddler Town from Noon – 8pm. If you have paperwork that’s cluttering your home , you can shred up to 3 bags or boxes of paper for free with a canned food donationn or monetary donation to the Center for Community Services. Take advantage of Shred-It between the hours of Noon – 3p.m.
On Labor Day, The Miss Labor Day Festival Pageant will kick off the festivities from 10a.m. – Noon. This pageant is a fundraiser for the Miss Fountain Inn and Miss Golden Strip Pageant Scholarship. Come between 8a.m. – 1p.m. to do some shopping at the The Simpsonville Farmers Market. You won’t want to miss the Classic Car Cruise-in from 10a.m. – 4p.m. with 200 cars expected to cruise on in. Ya gotta love those classics! There’s more fun in store for the first 300 kids who come to Toddler Town on Sunday. They can participate in building birdhouses with Lowes Build and Grow Kids Clinic. Just imagine how proud your little one will be when he/she sees the birdhouse they made being hung in tree in their backyard by mom or dad!
This 3 day festival is expected to bring in a crowd of about 20,000 people. Take a stroll up and down Main Street, meet our local business people, make new friends, and just have fun!
