Relocating To Greenville SC?

Call me…let’s talk. My husband and I relocated to the Greenville area of the Upstate (also referred to as Up Country) in 1995 from NJ. We were blessed with the good fortune of finding a Realtor® who spent a few days showing us the area and taking us into homes for sale during our first visit to Greenville County.

We continued our communications with the same Realtor® long after we returned home via postal mail, phone and fax. When we were finally ready to make our relocation a reality, I phoned her excitedly saying, “Our house is in contract…we’ll be there Monday and we only have 5 days to get into contract on a home.” Talk about an emotional roller coaster ride….Geez! When we arrived, our Realtor® had homes lined up for us to preview based on the criteria we had provided over a 2 year period. At the end of our visit we were headed back to NJ to pack our belongings with pictures of the home we were purchasing to show our family and friends.

There is no doubt that relocation is a high pressure situation. Ours would have been unbearable if not for the fact that we built a relationship with our Realtor® through constant communications. When the time came for our purchase visit, no time was lost…our Realtor® knew the exact areas and style of homes to take us to preview. 16 years later we are still enjoying our home!
